Bridget Translations provides on-site interpreting services to assist independent and small groups of foreign travelers to Japan for personal and/or business purposes. We can help you overcome language barriers and experience the local culture as much as possible during your stay in Japan, however long or short it may be.
You may need some assistance...When there are no-English speaking attendants or escorts available at the destinations you would like to visit, when you don’t want to waste your valuable time trying to figure out how to best reach your destination, and when you want to enrich your stay in Japan by fully experiencing all that the country has to offer without any language barriers.
Whatever your difficulties or requirements, we will do our utmost to ensure your efficient, smooth and enjoyable stay in Japan.

Please note that we may not be able to meet your requirements due to the content of your plan, or the schedule and availability of the assigned interpreter.
NOT included in the rate:
- Transportation fees—train and bus fares to and from the interpreter's residence, and to and from the places visited together with the client (taxi fares when public transportation is not available early in the morning or late at night).
- Meal allowance— (when the interpreter dines separately from the client)
flat rate: Breakfast¥1000, Lunch¥1500, Dinner¥2000
∗ the interpreter’s meal expense is to be paid by the client if the interpreter dines together with them. - Overtime work—overtime is calculated by adding 30% to the basic hourly rate in 30—minute increments.
Example (less than 30-minute overtime work): hourly rate x 0.5 x 130%.
Please note that overtime availability is not guaranteed.
Cancellation fee:
- 4 – 5 days before 30% of quoted fee
- 2 – 3 days before 80% of quoted fee
- 1 day before or same day 100% of quoted fee
